Innaugral Meeting

A well attended innaugral meeting of Amddiffyn Mynydd Epynt (AME) took place on the 6th November 2025 at Penpont.

We adopted a draft constitution as our working constitution, not finalised but fit for purpose as we get set up as an organisation. The constitution will be kept under review and be subject to fine tuning over the next month or so will be presented back to our supporters in the New Year for formal adoption.

Also at this meeting, members were elected to an Interim steering group to take responsibility for various tasks as we take our urgent campaign forward to oppose the industrialisation of Epynt.

Paul Swann was confirmed as AME co-ordinator and Mark Collins as the AME spokesperson. Other roles were also identified and volunteers were confirmed into them by the assembled group.

The group will be asked to formally confirm the Steering Group membership at the first full meeting in the new year, the date of which will be announced in due course.
